1 | Any scriptures on slain in spirit? | Bible general Archive 1 | inmyheart | 50291
Hello enriched, I tried looking up rapture in the bible, and I couldn't find the word. I once witnessed a person receiving Christ into their life and that person began to cry, but I saw another person receiving salvation with no emotion at all. I've seen people prayed over (laying on of hands) and walked back to their seat, and I've seen others that looked as if they been struck by lightning. Some churches are quiet and others not so quiet! My point is, There is a lot of denominations out there that have different practices. If you want to go to a church where they show a lot of excitement for God, fine. Just go to a church where the Word of God is being taught and grow in your walk. Now let's talk about the rapture, is it pre, mid or post ? LOL :) just kidding! God bless you my friend |

I would that you all would experience the presence of God Almighty and see if you could stand up.... May the Lord grant you that experience some day.
3 | Any scriptures on slain in spirit? | Bible general Archive 1 | Hank | 50687
Pam, I experience the presence of God in my life in countless ways.... in the birth of a child, in the love of my wife and children and dear friends, in sunrise and sunset, in the majesty of the Psalms, in the rain and the rainbow, in the beauty of a tree and the fragrance of a rose, in the awesome complexity of a spider's web and the masterwork of a bird's nest, in the reading and study of His blessed word, the Scriptures, in meditation, in prayer.... in all these things and a thousand more, the presence of the Almighty God is indelibly stamped on my heart. Yet through it all, I have found no difficulty in being able to stand when I chose to, or lie down in green pastures if I wished, or lie upon my couch in vacant or in pensive mood. And I have not the vaguest of clues about what that curious phrase 'slain in the spirit' (or is it Spirit?) means, and between you and me, I really don't think it matters much to me what it means. Somehow, I'm not too fond of the idea of being slain. I'd much sooner be merely a Christian. --Hank

I have never been "slain in the spitit" that I know of, but, this flesh gets slain daily. The spirit that comes from God our Father uplifts me and makes me come alive each day! Praise Him for His Holy Spirit! Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |
