See this is where we end up saying the same thing on both sides of the controversy. You say he was never saved in the first place. Why? Because the Spirit of God within you tells you that one that lives like that is not going to heaven. Well we end up at the same conclusion. Only I do not pass judgement whether he ever was part of the true church or not. However I do judge that he is not now part of the church; because of the life style. If we both agree with Paul that he that practices these things will not inherit the kingdom of God (and I think you know the verses I am referring to) then we are in agreement and there isn't any controversy at all. It is when men say things from the pulpit such as "I am telling you, you can live like hell, and still go to heaven, you just might not have any rewards when you get there" (I heard this preaced with my own ears) it is when these kind of statements are made or beleived that the brethren start into the divisions. And it must be that such a division take place when such statments are made, because God always causes the holy to reject such heresy. May God Bless You in your Study of His Word. |

Dear Scribe, Greetings in Jesus' name! Friend, I have a problem with your studious stance. At what point can we maintain the grace of God? We can never know the heart of man, that is God's soveriegn territory. Neither can we fathom the depths of God's grace. This too, is His alone to know. You seem to want to 'identify' porno addiction as an 'unforgivable sin.' Why not 'anger addiction' or 'untruth addiction?' How about 'self-righteousness addiction' or 'human-knowledge addiction?' Finally, what about 'speaking-for-God addiction?' I have witnessed these sins, perhaps even experienced them. I pray that He is still my Savior, full of grace! Heresy to preach too much grace? Hmmm. Imbalance, maybe; irresponsible, surely! But heresy? Hardly. Peace and grace to you, my fellow forumer. In Christ Jesus, charis |

Thank you for your thoughts charis, I am not sure why you consider me studious, 'wordy' yes, but others here are much more studious. However I was certainly verbose enough that it would seem one would know I never said any sin was unforgiveable. The message I am preaching is that a saint should live holy. I am sure you agree with that. May God Bless you in your Study of His Word. |
