Isn't it in th Bible somewhere, the phrase, go against the flow. I've heard it so much and we are using that theme for our youth group but we wanted some Biblical background for it. Where is it at? | ||||||

Dear Brandyb, I don't believe "go against the flo" is exactly a quote from Scripture. Billy Graham used such an example in one of his books - and possibly in a sermon, to describe what it means to be born again. He said something to the effect that before one is born again, it is like a person in a boat, going along with the current of the river; to be born again is like being in another boat, along the same river, but rowing against the current. A Scripture that might be helpful to you is Romans 12:2, where it says: "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect, will of God." |
