Support And Comment............................. Greetings Serentime! Excellent comments! The simple fact is that clothing has changed over the years. May I make one comment about Strong's concordance? I agree that every believer should own and use Strong's concordance! However, I would add one word of caution. Strong's does not translate back into the original languages. It simply tells you which Greek or Hebrew word was used in the verse and provides a definition for that word. It is more like a dictionary than anything else. One danger of misusing Strong's is that one simply plugs a standard definition into the text without understanding the priciples of grammar. So, it is a good idea to check a good commentary to make sure that one understands how a word is used in it's context. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Thanks Tim for the information regarding the Strongs Concordance. I do agree that it is also a dictionary, but in the publishers preface in the Strong's is says that "The Main Concordance , which lists every word in the Bible and the reference and context of every appearance of that word. It also includes a dictionary of the Hebrew Bible and a dictionary of the Greek Testament, which give the original Hebrew, Chaldee, and Greek of each word in the Bible and explains it's meaning." It also says that "Mr. Strongs spent 35 years preparing the most complete and what has become the most widely accepted Concordance of the Kings James Version." Which I only use. The Christian Herald, 1947 described this work , "the old classic, the best ever written." I do have to admit that in Hebrew there can be some variation in a meaning of a word, but if you prayerfully and diligently study and search out the scriptures in depth the way my husband and I have for several years you will be given by the Father how to discern, know what the true meaning is, when seeking the Father's Wisdom. It doesn't happen overnight. You really need to diligently seek for revelation knowledge. But it will happen. There is so much more to be revealed in the word than alot of people realize. I'm not really fond of commentaries, but am open to the possiblity. Thank you again for your imput. Oh, I just wanted to say that I thought your letter of apology to Casiv was humble. Most people would not admit this and apologize. We can have differences in what the scriptures really mean, but to be open to others is important. If we don't agree, after checking it out, then we gave it our best shot. You and him and others were going back and forth on alot of things, and I could feel the tension. I respect what you did. In the future feel free to offer any other imput that would be helpful for my desire to a better understanding. In the Father's Love, Serenetime | ||||||
