Charis: If you are going to rebuke me, point out Scripture. Your opinion holds just as much weight as mine unless one of them is supported by the Bible (1 Timothy 3:16). How in the world is it bigoted to point to the Word of God as the source of truth about Him? When I frequently address skeptics and atheists and agnostics, I certainly take a completely different approach; but this is a Bible study forum for people to discuss the BIBLE, not to dream up some New-Age fantasies. The person to whom I addressed my reply claims that she is a believer in Jesus Christ, but she is very wrong on several notions about the very nature of God and the nature of humanity. I have brought them up before, extensively pointing her to Scriptures which point out these errors; and the only reply I get is silence and repetition of the same unbiblical notions. Not terribly teachable (2 Timothy 3:16). I am sorry if you see my zeal for doctrinal purity as intolerance. Please be assured that you and anyone else on here can believe whatever you want, but I have a written standard which is very intolerant of falsehood about our Creator. The truth is pretty narrow, Charis, and it is wishy-washiness about standing up for what our holy God has revealed about Himself that has led to such anemia in the church today. Consider this to be correction (2 Timothy 3:16). --Joe! |

Hello joe, if this forum is for dicussions on the Creator. Why? Cannt I ask such a question? The bottom line is you don't really know either because if you did then you would not have been so negative about me asking the question. Do you think that you (joe) have all the answers? it is obvious that you do not. that is okay. However the bible I have not read it in its entirety. however I can But As A Child of God Limit My believes on Only the Bible. We have brians right aren't we suppose to use them. The Bible contains the mind of God, The state of a man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy, its preceptions are bounding, its decisions are immutable, read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy, it contains, light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you. Joe, You are suppose to guide me and stop being so judgemental of my questions. You need to work on your spirit. I think we need to read the bible, yes. But Some bible quoting christians spirit is not right with our creator. So read on but also apply some of the situations in the bible with real life events and stop talking like you know it all, because you do not. If you did then you yourself would not be in this forum. peace the |

Yes, you are supposed to use your brains, which includes avoiding such statements as this: "The bottom line is you don't really know either because if you did then you would not have been so negative about me asking the question." The reason I do indeed know is that I HAVE read what Scripture has to say about it. God is uncreated. Period. No more speculation needed. The Bible declares that God has eternally existed and will eternally exist. I gave you a whole host of verses that support this. If you believe the Bible, you should know now, too. I never have claimed to know everything, but I certainly do make the "arrogant" claim to know SOMETHING, namely what God clearly and in no uncertain terms has revealed about Himself. The reason I have been so "negative" toward you, as you put it, is revealed by what you yourself have said: "However the bible I have not read it in its entirety. however I can But As A Child of God Limit My believes on Only the Bible." Whatever that second sentence is supposed to mean, the first one is perfectly clear: you are not only asking questions about God that are answered clearly in Scripture; but also you are instructing others on this forum to look at fallen, sinful humanity to discover the answers, rather than examining the Scriptures. If you cannot take correction, I apologize, but 2 Timothy 3:16 in my Bible tells me that correction is one thing that the Bible is for. I think it is you who are being prideful for not admitting your theological error here. I certainly do not know it all, but I am more than willing to let God's Word, in the hands of those who know it, be the instrument to correct me. --Joe! |

Are we as christians suppose to help one another instead of trying to think that you are more knowledgeable than I. Because you read THE BIBLE that is why I ask the Question. Maybe I am on the wrong forum because. Religion is a relationship with God, may be I should Just stick to asking God to revele himself to me. When people could not read and had prayer in there lives they didnot wait to know who God was by waiting on the bible. They had a spiritual connection with God. We really don't use all the sense that God equipt us with. Some of us read the bible and still have a wicked spirit. My heart doesnot know how to read so it realize on my other sense to help I desifer right from wrong. I still say you donot know it all. Peace | ||||||
