Jepthae, "Infact the devil was never in heaven. Just want to hear your thoughts. And maybe others. Jephthae" Forget my thoughts. Here is what Jesus said: Luke 10:18 And He said to them, "I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning. Emmaus |

Yes that is true but that is not the literal devil or satan. Satan is not a name it is a discriptive term. Anyone can be a satan or devil. Jephthae: Please stop guessing and provide biblical references, properly exegeted, to support your statements. I have in mind particularly the following: "Satan is not a name, it is a descriptive term." [Descriptive of what? and prove it with Scripture]. .... "Anyone can be a satan or devil" [Prove it with Scripture.] ..... "Peter turned into Satan." [Prove it with Scripture]. ..... "That is a type of false religon." [What is? and prove it with Scripture.] ..... "The same system that fooled John in revelation." [What system was that? Explain how John writing under the inspiration of God was fooled. Prove it with Scripture.] ..... Are you beginning to get the idea of how things are done on this Forum? The Forum standards call for scriptural proof of theological statements. Theological guesses that are not and cannot be supported by orhodox exegesis of Scripture are most unwelcome on this Forum. It's better to be candid with you now in order to avoid more serious problems later on. --Hank
4 | Is it possible to sin in heaven? | 1 John 3:2 | Jephthae | 119347
I Just want to clarify my statements that I made concerning devil and satan. We must not think that every time the scripture makes a reference to devil and satan that it is talking about old Beelzebub himself. (Math.12: 24) If we do we fall into literal interpretation of the scriptures and we block the amount of sun (our spiritual Jesus Malachi.4:2) from interring into our spiritual earth.(2Cor.4:7) Let me give you an example. Jesus called Peter Satan (Math.16: 21-23) Jesus said Judas was a devil (John6:70) If you take a literalist approach then the two became the devil at that time. The literal devil is a spirit. Always have been and always will be.In rev.12:9 it said the dragon was called the devil and satan. It did not say it was his name. Devil and satan are descriptive terms which means false accuser and adversary(1Peter5:8). Mark8:33 Surely Peter became an adversary to Jesus because he was not standing up for truth and Judas was an adversary also fighting against ChristJohn6:70. Lets Look in Mark 14:58 surely this man was a false accuser to Christ why, because he took a literalist approach to understanding what Jesus said. If you are a literalist then all these three men became satan and the devil at that time. It just does not fit the type. 1Cor.2:8 makes it clear that there are two types of wisdom. The wisdom of the world and the wisdom of God. Paul goes on to say that godly wisdom is spoken in a mystery even hidden wisdom. Read 1John4:1-6. It talks about how to know false prophets. Verse 2 says how to know the spirit of God. Pay close attention to is come and not did come. Why, because every time a true child of God comes to rain(word of God) down on thirsty earth(spirit of any person) it is Jesus come in the flesh of his true elect. Jesus said greater things we shall do (John14: 12) because he goes to the father. We also must not think that every time heaven is mentioned that is talking about our final resting place literal heaven. Paul said in Hebrew 12:22 ye are come. They were already there in the church of God (Heaven on earth). Heaven is where ever Jesus is. If you read Luke 23:43 Jesus said the man will be with him in paradise today. Why because both will die and go to the upper portion of hell, Abraham’s bosom. Why was it paradise, because Jesus was there. Wherever Jesus is it is paradise. In Isaiah 14:12 it said thou art fallen from heaven. Read Math.11:23 were they in heaven literally ?No they were in a high spiritual position because Jesus was there. Heaven on earth. They were brought down to the lowest spiritual position because they refused his message. Falling from grace. In Isaiah 14 :4 it said the proverb should be taken against the king of Babylon. All these things are talking about the king of Babylon Nebachodnesser. Verse 7 earth at rest. When he was brought down to act like an animal for seven years.Verse 10 become week as other kings. Lucifer King of Babylon. Who was king of Babylon at that time .Verse 13 I will exalt, I will sit. Did not sound like he was in heaven. If he was why say I will.verse 15 brought down to hell because he took credit for his greatness(Fall from grace high spiritual position).Verse 16 Pay close attention. Is this the man (not spirit)that made the earth to tremble. What man did all these things? Nebachadnesser. Verse 17 opened not the house of his prisoners. Read Jeramiah 52:31. He kept this guy in prison a long time. 37 years. In his love Jephthae
