Hello fw, For one, I agree with Doc. God speaks to us through his Word (Heb. 4:12), not subjective "experiences". It's not a matter of one being right, but where do you find support in scripture? Rom. 4:3...? If you've heard from God in an audible voice, what did He sound like? You're in extremely rare company! Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |

FW, Can you be a more specific? Just throwing out possibilities, or what comes to mind, doesn't help and shows to me that you don't know what you really experienced?! Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |

Well all through scripture give accounts on where God spoke to people in dreams, Old Testament and New Testament. Show me where in the Bible God said, I will no longer speak to you through dreams, or through somebody else, or in an audible voice. You know to some He gave gifts, some as prophets, some as teachers, and so on. I know we can agree on this one thing, Christ came in the flesh! Lord be magnified!!
5 | Hereing from God | 1 John 3:22 | Val | 213150
What comes to mind is this verse "Heb 1:1 God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, Heb 1:2 in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world." If you will read the gospels you will find that Christ's finished work on the cross is all we need for life and salvation. When He was on the cross he said in John 19:30 Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. There is no need for any new revelation. Christ has not spoken audibly to anyone since He last spoke to the Apostle Paul. Are you claiming to be an apostle or prophet? There are some mental disorders where people hear voices. Seriously, these should be checked out with a physician. Holding to Him - Val |
