1 | Can a born again sin as they did before? | 1 John 1:8 | jlpangilinan | 67810 | ||
Dear Hank, My posting is clear (I hope) I am talking about the true born again a true believer. My argument is this, if the one being born again is before is a killer in intentions then called for a salvation (born again) He cannot do what he had done before i.e killing. I gave the example of paul, Christ live in him he not live his own but Christ live in him. I am sure if Christ lives in you how could you kill someone as Christ said love your nieghbor as thyself? Paul before called by christ, was a different man he forsaken the apostle of christ and even Persecution against stephen and the followers of Christ he took a prominent part But after Christ called him, did he commit the same acts? If the person that has Christ in Him and Christ live in Him can kill can rape, what kind of christ is that living in that person. God bless, Johnny |

Johnny, You still are a fleshly human being...you are still tempted and have to be in the world after being saved...After being reborn, you will have more of a tendency to be offended by what is evil or against God and have more of a drive to live the right way and to be a servant of God...However, you can still fall and if you never repent (especially after knowing God) you will be condemned...I will find you more Scripture for this if you'd like!? Hello Tremere, This statement is representative of what you are being called on: "However, you can still fall and if you never repent (especially after knowing God) you will be condemned...I will find you more Scripture for this if you'd like!?" You need to explain what you mean by "falling" and "if you never repent". How would one "be condemned?" In other words, what is the biblical basis for these statements? Do you have scriptural support, and if so what is it? This is exactly why some of us are seeking clarification. You're not giving specific scripture references to blanket statements. I hope this helps. Speaking the Truth In Love, BradK |

BradK, I would explain what I meant about "falling" and "if you never repent"...but really what you want is not my explanation but Scripture...so, by tommorrow I will do that....I'm wondering...did you notice that I also said to Johnny that I would find him more Scripture on the subject or did you miss that part? Listen please, and hopefully many will read this...I am not one of those people who can just spout out chapters and verses...I have been in the Bible for years but, I guess, I'm not good with remembering numbers but moreso I remember the story in the passage or the lesson or the understading I got from it...I read it everyday at work and, sometimes at home...coworkers think I'm a religious fanatic...I don't care what they think or anyone else...but I hate that I cannot speak about my understanding or my theories about the Bible with fellow Christians...in order to learn something you have to come to conclusions about it, you get a theory about it, you search to proove to yourself-first- that you are correct...we are all on different spirtual paths...I work everyday and get up at 4AM...I have already spent a couple hours in this forum trying to further defend myself...I'd like to spend time with my son, but I will give you chapters and verses as soon as possible...Under different circumstances I would've answered you differently...I would have tried to explain myself...but as I said, that's not what you want.
