1 | Are Reformed people lost souls? | 2 Pet 1:10 | John Reformed | 99586 | ||
Dear EdB, I have felt frustrated myself at times. But your post made me realize that "frustration" is not a christian virtue. It is an indication that our faith is not perfect. We are frustrated when our efforts do not produce the results which we desire them to produce... Our will is not being done! But if we believe God and what He has written, even our petty bickering serves His greater purpose for our lives. Rom 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. John |

John I hear you and I agree, as you have said the "bickering" can serve a purpose. It has accomplished much in my life. I had a very naive view of certain doctrine that came out of the reformation. I once actually defended a position to my own harm that I now believe that position to be so totally wrong I view it as heretical. I really never understood how convoluted a doctrine it was even when others tried to show me. I kept saying it can’t that far off they are Christians also, but now through our “bickering” you have shown me how wrong I was. Thanks I wish I would have known then what I know now I would have never defended it. EdB |
