1 | Can you please explain tithing? | Deut 14:1 | Saint Luke | 163366
You are right! It is all HIS!! The Tithe is not required in the new covenant. Keep it in context. Mal 3:6 puts this class of people required to tithe as "ye Sons of Jacob". The Tithe wasn't money, you'll notice he didn't want the tithe put into a vault. Read Leviticus, the tithe was food!!! Imaging putting food in an offering plate at your church!!! I'm not Jewish, therefore not a son of Jacob. I have been delivered from the law (Old Testament) of Sin and Death! Read Galatians. Quit going back and inserting the Law of Moses into the Christian Life! By the way, GOD doesn't want your money, Christ wants to live HIS life through you, he forgave your Sins (all of them) when Christ shed His blood and Died on the Cross. Mankind has been forgiven of our sins (PRAISE GOD) We've been reconciled to GOD, planned before the foundations of the world, Ephesians 1:4. John 3:16 says "whosoever believes will have EVERLASTING LIFE" It mentions nothing about forgiveness of sins. It has already been provided for us. God Bless |

2 | Can you please explain tithing? | Deut 14:1 | jlpangilinan | 163396
You are right Malachi 3:8 really is not addressed to Christians but to Jews De 5:2 The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb. De 5:3 The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day. Aside from that, tithe is part of the law. Ac 13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. I don’t think Jesus Christ exclude tithe when he gave the new covenant to us, if He change such as stoning to death those who caught in adultery, what is it in the tithes that’s so special.
