If all sacrafices should have ended with Jesus death and resurrection, then why did Paul participate in sacarfices in Acts 21? And in Acts 21 it was the James and the "elders" who urged Paul to participate with certain men in what appears to have been a Nazarite Vow. MJH |

Good point ! The Word of God cannot be contradictory. The Perfect Sacrifice replaced all future sacrifices and in fact to sacrifice is to make Jesus death of no effect. This area is of great controversy within the Church because these sacrificial laws are what was done away with at the cross. But moral laws and other guidelines given by God are still relevant and applicable to the NT Christian. Merv |

Hi, Merv... That is a thing I've always wondered about Judiaizers: If only the sacrifices for sin have passed away, why aren't you all still doing thank offerings, grain offerings, freewill offerings, and drink offerings? By your line of reasoning, they should still be required. In Him, Doc |
