Hi David, Welcome to the forum! The same way we get saved... By faith. GenĀ 5:22-24 Then Enoch walked with God three hundred years after he became the father of Methuselah, and he had other sons and daughters. So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. Notice, Enoch was not a Jew, also, read all of Hebrews 11, God doesn't spell it out clearly to us in the OT, but you can be sure that they new more then we can see just from reading from our vantage. After all, Abel new something about the need for sacrifice and what was proper. Gen 4:4 Heb 11:39a And all these, having gained approval through their faith, We look back to the cross for salvation, they looked forward to the cross. Even though they didn't know how, (they couldn't see The Cross) but they believed He would restore things, (i.e. the fallen lost world) back to Himself. God bless John |

Thanks John, I will pray for your wife. Although I was saved, I was not walking with the Lord through the first 10 years of my marriage. When I re committed my life to Him, praise be to the Lord, he saved her two years later. Your Brother in Christ, Dave |

Thanks, Dave, Do please, pray, and for all the others as well, I pray every day, at least I try to. She doesn't often allow me to talk about God, but seems to be softening as time goes by, and I continue to pray. God bless John |

John, A mentor once told me that I should strive to proclaim the Gospel each and every day, and if I absolutely have to, use words. If your wife is like mine, she is watching you very closely. Even if she does not seem to be, she is. Your walk will eventually win her over because unlike a verbal debate, you can not argue with a changed life. God Bless, Dave |

Dave, Amen to that. Thanks, for the encouragement.... your prayers,... and, the reminder! :-) One of the area's that He is working on in me is being quick to act and slow to speak! A big job by the way! :-) Also one of my favorite songs is a children's song. (He's still workin on me.) He's still workin on me, to make me what I ought to be. It only took a week to make the Moon and the Stars, the Earth, and the Sun, and Jupiter and Mars. How loving and patient He must be, cause He's still workin on Me! There ought to be a sign, hanging on my heart, don't judge me yet, there's an unfinished part. How loving and patint He must be, cause He's still workin on me! God bless John p.s. would that be Medford OR.? or MA., NJ., MAS., NY., or WI.? answer by e (bottom of my profile) if you don't care to say in open view, or of course, not at all. :-) I'm in Jo. Co. by the way. |
