1 | Could the "2 witnesses" be ... | Heb 11:13 | Radar | 53338
Any thoughts on the theory that the "two witnesses" in Rev. 11:3 will be Enoch and Elijah based on "it is appointed unto man once to die," and they apparently did not experience a physical death?
2 | Could the "2 witnesses" be ... | Heb 11:13 | jlpangilinan | 53339
They all died in faith according to the assessment of Paul Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. Heb 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. Shalom, Johnny Read Heb. 11 again and you will see that in verse 13 the writer says "These all died in faith" and is speaking about those mentioned above which do not include Elijah, and "Enoch was translated that he should not see death." So, once again, these two men have not yet experienced physical death. |

I hope that you will agree that bible will not contradict itself. It very clear that they "all died" in faith, what kind of all is that if enoch is not included there. He is talking about them from the very start of the chapter, and I hope you will believed to the writing of apostle paul that it is appoint unto men once to die, but after this the judgement. Now if enoch and elijah is men they should die once otherwise paul is liar. Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. These verse also will explain that our corruptible body will have to be incorruptible. We have to die to be ressurected, how can Christ ressurect them from the dead if they still alive physically. Then again if dont believed that bible will not contradict itself it your problem my friend, you can do all your reason out. God bless, Johnny |

Johnny, Would you agree, according to 1Co 15:51-52, that not all will actually keep the appointment of death? retxar |

Sure I can agree with that. Will you agree with me that Enoch and Elija are born again living in the age of grace and alive at the time of the rapture? Those that are alive and remain...Right?
7 | Could the "2 witnesses" be ... | Heb 11:13 | retxar | 54224
Heb 11:5 says that Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death. 2Ki 2:11 says Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. 1Th 4:17 says that those who are alive and REMAIN will be caught up and will forever be with the Lord. By all scriptural accounts, Elijah and Enoch have already been "caught up" and are already forever be with the Lord. Therefore, tho they are indeed alive, they do not “remain" and, as I see it, will not be sent back to Earth to live as a natural person again. Listening for the trumpet! retxar |

I would agree that not all of the people will die, because there are people alive in the second coming of Christ. But in case of Elijah and Enoch, the assessment of Paul to them they all died in faith. 2 Kings 2:11 says that Elijah went up to heaven, is true, of course if you analyze the situation his son saw him that Elijah has been caught up to heaven. But we are sure that it is the first heaven that we saw now. It is not metioned there that it was the heaven that the "kingdom of God" otherwise, his son will also saw the angels and where exactly elijah sit or place. In addition, his son maybe saw God there in heaven. If enoch or elijah already being caught up with thier corruptible body Paul had lie in his statement: 1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. and his assessment that they all died in faith, I dont think that Paul will lie in his statement. If they already caught up in heaven, not only paul you will accused of lying you also include John: Joh 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. John said "no man" hath ascended up to heaven. If he said "no man" who is enoch and elijah are they man or what? Im sure you will agree that they are man. Bible will not contradict itself my friend, the assessment of paul is very clear, they all died in faith, and I am sure that he never lie in his statement. |
