Thank you for telling us what you think. No use cluttering up the issue with Scripture references to support what you think. |

Kalos, It would probobly be easier and much more graceful to just ask me for some scripture to back up what I said, Just for future refrence your statement came off a little rude. 1 Corinthians 3:16 Do you not discern and understand that you [the whole church at Corinth] are God's temple (His sanctuary), and that God's Spirit has His permanent dwelling in you [to be at home in you, [Matthew Henry, Commentary on the Holy Bible.] collectively as a church and also individually]? 1 Corinthians 6:19 Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own, 2 Corinthians 6:16 What agreement [can there be between] a temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in and with and among them and will walk in and with and among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. |

May I ask if one's body is "the holy temple" ONLY after one has accepted Jesus Christ (2 Corinthian 5:17) as Lord ? In Jesus, KJ | ||||||

Ken, That is a good question, and has got me thinking. These are my thoughts and I am not firm one way or the other so if someone has some scripture concerning this I would love to see it. Anyway, It seems to me that as God is our creator and he made us with the purpose of being his "Holy Temple" Saved or unsaved it seems that we will be that temple even as bad as some may abuse it. Then again I just ran across this verse Ephesians 2:19 Therefore you are no longer outsiders (exiles, migrants, and aliens, excluded from the rights of citizens), but you now share citizenship with the saints (God's own people, consecrated and set apart for Himself); and you belong to God's [own] household. So this seems pretty clear that when you enter into the kingdon THEN you become part of his household. Unless being his temple and being part of his household is different. ;) |
