2 Tim. 3:12 says; "Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted." From the above verse, my question is: Does the fear of persceution, keep us from living a more godly life? The promise in the verse is not might be persecuted, but rather "will be persecuted" Your thoughts please Grace be with you zach† |

I thank God for those whom have answered this question. They are exactly right. You see the more you learn of Christ, the more you love him. The more you love him the more you truth him. The more you truth him then the stronger you will become in the word. This can only be done from studying the word of God and meditating on Christ with lots of prayer. As you become closer to Christ when trying times of persecution come the Holy Spirit will take over and you will automatically become bold for Christ. Remember the Holy Spirit is what gives us power. In the book of Acts when the apostle were talken and beaten, they continue to stand bold for Christ even though their lives were threathen. Afterwards they all prayed to God for even more boldness. Persecution is what helps us to become stronger. Keep living Holy, even if it mean death. |
