1 | The Ministry of the "Walking Wounded" | 1 Tim 4:6 | Makarios | 35052
Are there many pastors (or ex-pastors) on this Forum who have been "wounded" by their congregation or District Superintendent or overseeing board of directors for "political reasons" and have been forced out from fulfilling their calling as pastors? If so, how is the church to minister to a pastor and his family who is among the 'walking wounded'? Are there places for pastors and their families (who have been burnt before in the past) to fulfill their calling? |

Thank you, Hugger! I will explore that website! However, the situations that I have described have happened over the span of about twenty years, so I would ask that you pray for those churches and people that we were involved with, if you do decide to pray. I do have other memories that were much more pleasant as a 'church' family! So I won't list all of the churches here that have 'wronged' us, or anything like that. But these types of things do happen in local parishes, like it or not, and that is the reality of some situations in many places. Thank you for the website and information! Blessings to you, Makarios |

4 | The Ministry of the "Walking Wounded" | 1 Tim 4:6 | Hugger | 35183
Makarios, I spelled your name wrong....sorry! (: I hope those webites can help you. It is a very common thing to happen in the ministry. Even Pastors are human and have need of healing. As with the shepherds of the OT like Moses, David, etc., they all received wounds from their flock. It is very sad but at the same time God will use these situations to bring about something good. So, look for the good things in times of trials. I thank the Lord for making you a part of His body here on this forum. Lord bless and keep you! Hugger |
