I am not advocating that we keep the dietary laws of the OT. I merely wish to point out a couple of things. You write: "if it were condeming to us, God would have included it in His commandments." Hello? God did include it in His commandments. You write: "I believe the issues Moses had with pork..." Moses didn't have "issues" with pork. Moses merely wrote down the Law with its commandments as it was given to him by God. Also, I cannot agree that the primary purpose of the laws prohibiting the eating of pork and certain other foods is because of health considerations. Primarily, the dietary laws were given to emphasize that Israel was to be separate from the nations around them. --kalos |

so .. thou shalt not bear false witnes .. shalt not covet thy neighbors wife... shalt not commit murder... thou shalt not eat a pig ( by this you will be seperated from other nations) oh, and ...ah my laws are given only to the nation of Israel and my Holy word is for them !!! come on .... think about what you are saying... who is the law given to? Don't confuse the commandments of God with the law of moses. |
