1 | Can a woman speak in church? | 1 Tim 2:15 | Nehemiah | 4599
I know that the Bible says, he grants some to be pastors, some prophets, etc. So why wouldn't he. People tend to point out the scripture that gives instructions regarding who can be a deacon, elder, etc. But, my opinion is that it was not intended to outcast women from the pulpit. I beleive that there are many women with an evangelic gift. I do however beleive that a man should be the "head of the church" since he is the head of the household. But I beleive that if the Lord Jesus has granted any of us the gift to evangilise, preach, or teach, or whatever gracious gift, we (woman or man) must utilize it before the church and elders (under thier guidance).

3 | Can a woman speak in church? | 1 Tim 2:15 | richilou | 10701
Now, my friend I would like to tell you that you understood well what the person meant by "the head of the Church" without trying to split the hair in four. I think that that persons knew that Christ is the head of the Church, and wanted to say that he is head in the sense of leadership. Let us not think that all christians are ignorant of the truth when they don't use the exact word to express their thought.
4 | Can a woman speak in church? | 1 Tim 2:15 | Hank | 10724
My friend, please don't presume that I understand more than I actually do. In this case your observations are probably right and I defer to them. In any event it was neither the most enlightened nor the dumbest post I've ever made to this forum. Thank you for your counsel. --Hank
