1 | The Lord Jesus revealed? | 2 Thess 1:7 | Ray | 110587
1) The letter of 2 Thessalonians has eleven occurances of the "Lord Jesus Christ" in the NKJ. 2) 2 Thessalonians 1:7, talks about when "the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels. Topic: I believe that it is significant that it could be stated that this is the only verse that does not have "Christ" after the Lord Jesus. I would like to encourage reflection on comparing 2 Thessalonians 1:7 with 2 Thessalonians 2:6 and 7. Are there any thoughts about this comparison? From the heart, Ray |

2 | The Lord Jesus revealed? | 2 Thess 1:7 | cryst9m | 110616
chapter 2 represents prophecy and correction. Paul starts this chapter with a reemphasis of the rapture the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and by our gathering together unto Him. this is the same emphasis of 1Thessalonians chapter4 verses13through18. the personal pronoun until He be gone refers to the Holy Spirti operating through every believer who is a temple of the Holy Spirit. so the man of sin is being restrained hindered by the presence of the Holy Spirit in His body the Church. He cannot have full control until he be taken out of the way meaning the rapture of the Church. The man of sin that wicked one will be revealed then after the Church is called out verse8. the day of Christ relates wholly to the blessing and reward of the saved at His coming. the day of the Lord is connected with judgment. it occurs in the writings of the Old Testament prophets where it relates to the future kingdom promised in the Old Testament. it starts with the beginning of the tribulation. the central message is stand fast and hold the traditions which ye have been taught. other old testament prophets isaiah2andverse12 and malachi4and verse5 andjoelchapter2versesonethroughtwelve. acts2versetwenty and 2peter3verse10. I hope this information help you out. God Bless you, Crystal Moore |

Hi Crystal, Thank you for your comments and Scriptures. You spoke about the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together with Him. I believe that many Scriptures can be found and compared to see the coming of the Lord Jesus (Christ) and our gathering with (Him). I offer these for comparison and thought. 2 Thess 2:1, "Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord/ Jesus Christ , and our gathering together to (Him),..." 1 Thess 5:9,10, "For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord/Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with (Him)." Ephesians 2:5, "even when we were dead in our transgressions [He] made us alive together with (Christ) (by grace you have been saved)." Colossians 2:13, "And when you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him/, having forgiven us all our transgressions,..." 2 Peter 3-10, "Where is the promise of (His) coming?...but the day of the Lord/ will come like a thief." The parentheses and slashes are of course mine for comparison. I recommend to your interest the thread at 2 Thessalonians 2:6 and 7. From the heart, Ray |
