1 | Does red calf born 3-02 have any meaning | 2 Thess 1:1 | Taleb | 76541
Graceful, I didn’t intend to open a can, yet opened it is. You stated, “Your response should be aimed at the strict Orthodox Jewish community who interprets the scripture as there is to be another and they are preparing to build it. They believe when it is built Messiah will come to rule.” My response to them, as it always has been to my own relatives who argue that point, is the same one I “gracefully” offer you. “Please, give me a reference from God’s Word upon which you “base” this interpretation.” The only ones they use have ALREADY BEEN USED UP when that “Scripture” CAME TO PASS “IN” THE PAST. They can’t point to ONE Scripture that prophesizes a “new temple” will be rebuilt, after its destruction in 67-70 A.D., because there isn’t any. And, there is no basis for ever building one – other than that THEY WANT ONE, and you had better believe it has NOTHING TO DO WHAT GOD WANTS. About the same “topics”, Jesus warned against being deceived, and Paul is reiterating that here. Scripture “ended” with the apostles’ deaths. Since then, History has demonstrated all that they wrote about concerning the end of their “world”. Josephus, Eusebius, and others explain what took place in Jerusalem during its final destruction, with astounding detail. It’s as though the authors had “eavesdropped” upon Jesus’ explanation of what would take place, how it would take place, when it would take place, where it would take place, etc. And true to His word, and Daniel’s and the other prophet’s, it did. Don’t forget, the temple which Paul was referring to in 2 Thess. 2 WAS STILL STANDING when he wrote what he wrote. To “see” about the fulfillment, you have to read one of the great historians. There are many from which to choose. Have you ever done a “word study” on the "antichrist”? It will demonstrate where I am coming from. (Hint: THE BOOK is a lot different from “the books” on that topic.)Was I ever surprized to learn it doesn't even come close to saying what "they" claim it says. Graceful, I have “read some of the same books” and their “references of argument” are what I stated in my initial post. My questions to every such author, who promotes works different from Scripture, is: “Where did you dig up such a concept?” “Don’t you accept the Scriptural version?” You mentioned candlesticks and numerous temple artifacts. Interesting because Hebrews 9 mentions the same thing. The author of Hebrews points out what too many of our unscholarly authors of today fail to mention. Verse 11 – “But when Christ CAME, as the high priest of a BETTER system under which WE LIVE, (This would be you, me, and every believer since Christ.) He went in ONCE FOR ALL (people before Christ and everyone since) through that greater, more perfect tent of worship NOT MADE BY HUMAN HANDS nor a part of our material creation, into the sanctuary ,,,” Graceful, I must ask – How can any believer in the finality of Christ’s work ever imagine that God would “backslide” into having to have the old temple so Jews can once again offer sacrifices that didn’t “work” so some might believe in His Son – the final sacrifice? Why would any Jew accept the Messiah, Jesus, as that “final sacrifice for them” when, or while, they have a temple to offer their own? I trust you understand what I am asking. Coming from a family with Jewish members still actively involved with their “rituals”, I understand the “differences” between Israel and Judah. Most Goys (Gentiles) don’t. They think that all are the same. (Hint: The capital of “Israel” in the Old Testament was where?) Sorry, if I left more questions that answers, but …. Respectfully, Taleb P.S. The capital of “Israel” was Samaria. The Israelis worshiped in a different place and fashion than the Jews did. Remember the woman at the well, what she said about where they worshiped? Makes one wonder why Israel is called “Israel” today, when it was called “Judea” from David until the Jews were dispersed in 67-70 A.D. Then it was called Palestine. Interesting, how so much fits, when you realize what the “picture” really is. Blessings! |

2 | Does red calf born 3-02 have any meaning | 2 Thess 1:1 | gracefull | 76770
Hi Taleb.. Your post makes seems to make some assumptions so let me close with this. The question was 'what significance is the birth of the red heifer'. My position was from the perspective of the ones who do see it as significant, the Jewish sect that is working toward rebuilding the temple. And from the perspective of New covenant believers who believe this fits Bible prophesy concderning the end times. And your perspective was simply from the position of the New covenant church in regard to Old covenant practices.Which is absolutely true. Jesus was the final sacrifice.(However, this Jewish sect does not accept Jesus as the Messiah and is looking forward to resuming the Old covenant sacrifices in order to 'bring' Messiah) I believe this fits prophesy and I guess you do you do not. I believe I have answered the original question and do not care to continue a 'prophesy' discussion. God bless |

Gracefull, I can EASILY see why you refer to yourself as "Gracefull" - that you are! And it shows! I didn’t intend to open "a can" (as I stated in my post to you), and you Gracefully "closed it". Most of my family "treat arguments like a sport" (me :) included) Thank you for demonstrating what so many need to understand - being Gracefull. God bless YOU ! Taleb |

4 | Does red calf born 3-02 have any meaning | 2 Thess 1:1 | gracefull | 76825
Thank you taleb, for the kind words. I simply try to listen to the Holy Spirit, because all else is vain, and can even lead to divisions. My goal is to learn and teach that the body will be edified. I have learned that the Holy Spirit works well in a atmosphere of peace, and not at all where there is strife. God bless, |
