Bible Note: Graceful, sorry, but what you described is NOT according to any portion of God's word, which is the authority upon which we must base anything that IS significant. Hebrews chapters 8-10, explains WHY the first tabernacle was set up. Indirectly, it also explains why the temple was once and for all times destroyed as Jesus prophesied it would be. ANY temple built with hands HAS ABSOLUTELY NO USE in God’s eternal plan. Jesus said the temple used for sacrifices would be destroyed. It was. Jesus NEVER said it would be rebuilt. Any Old Testament reference about the “rebuilding” of the temple was ALWAYS written BEFORE ITS DESTRUCION. Therefore, those Scripture portions were FULFILLED as soon as the temple WAS REBUILT. The Old Testament “said” it would be destroyed on two separate occasions. It was. Twice the Old Testament "said" it would be rebuilt. It was. Once, and only once more, was it “prophesied ” to be completely destroyed. It was, AND exactly as Jesus said it would happen. NEVER was any reference made about it ever being rebuilt, after its once and for all time destruction. God’s word has NOTHING to say about any rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem after its final destruction, anymore than it has anything to say about the Jews in exile returning after being scattered for the final time. The same formula holds true for that also. Taleb |
