2 | do we go to heaven when we die or sleep | 1 Thess 4:15 | Searcher56 | 148502
Scripture ... Joh 11:11-13; 1Co 11:30, 15:6-51; 1Th 4:13-15; 2 Pet 3:3-4 ... bragbook, greetings and welcome to the SBF, We see that being asleep can refer to being dead, at times ... very clear in two verses (Joh 11:13, 1The 4:15). Yes, when we are absent from the body (go to sleep - are dead) is to be present with the Lord ... that is our spirits. Our bodies stay. Searcher Sreacher |

3 | do we go to heaven when we die or sleep | 1 Thess 4:15 | mark d seyler | 148517
Hi Searcher, What do you make of the passage: 2 Cor 5:2 For indeed in this house we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven, 2 Cor 5:3 inasmuch as we, having put it on, will not be found naked. 2 Cor 5:4 For indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed but to be clothed, so that what is mortal will be swallowed up by life. Do you think we will be disembodied spirits in heaven, prior to our physical resurrection? Love in Christ, Mark |
