Do you think in present times we can apply this as "There is no room for and there can be neither Baptist, Methodist, AG, Black and White etc...But Christ is all and in all" ?

Scripture ... 1 Cor 1:10-13, Eph 4:1-16, Col 3:11-17 ... City not deserted, greetings and welcome to the forum. There are (distinctions) labels we all have, some by choice, others not. Most of the ones listed in Colossians 3:11 fit the latter. Read the context. Paul wasn't happy with the distinctions elsewhere (1 Cor 1:10-13) ... and your list fits there, except for "Black and White", which we cannot change. Paul wanted unity also in Ephesians 4:1-16. We should accept all who are believers, for we will have no labels in the new creation (Col 3:11). Hope I answered your question, Searcher |

3 | Does this apply? | Col 3:11 | City not deserted | 56595
Searcher, Thanks for taking he time to answer this question. I work at the headquarters of a certain Pentecostal Denomination, and it seems they definitely seperate themselves from everyone else by certain issues and mindsets. It is truly sad and I feel it is major loss of power within the Body of Christ, I guess it just frustrates me that I am tied to these people through Christ, yet they choose to seperate themselves. I have temptation to seperate myself from them, But the Lord will not allow it. I long for the day that ALL of the People who love Christ would come together in unity. Surely then we would be closer to a beautiful spotless bride worth coming back for. |
