Greetings Brother, I am so saddened to hear about your situation and will offer prayer for you and your wife. I would simply ask her one question (and make sure she knows how serious you are): What do you need or require that the Lord God Almighty cannot supply? I would ask her to answer also as seriously as possible. (I am banking on the fact of your intimacy with her as your wife.) Some Scriptures you can refer her to are: Phil. 4:9 "And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus." Is. 59:1 "Behold, the LORD'S hand is not so short, that it cannot save; Nor is His ear so dull, that it cannot hear." Luke 18:27 "..."The things that are impossible with people are possible with God." Try to lead her to the Lord's complete and total sufficience. I am a female and know that we have to be sorta approached from the sensitive end and in a way that we feel we are being listened to. Maybe, she will 'talk' herself out of whatever she is searching for outside of the Lord and find herself being led back to Him. God bless you and comfort you through this and give you all understanding and wisdom in this situation. hidden in Christ, Lissa |

The only way I know how to ask is, "Is there something you need that the Lord can't supply?" Certainly, I would not ask in anger but concern. While it freaks me out and disturbs my spirit, I have the capacity to ask calmly and somewhat objectively. We could have more emotional intimacy, but that's the best way I know to approach it, outside of counseling. |

poodyglitz_98, greetings, Know that serveral are praying for you. Even for those who have some counsel training and experience, shy away from giving counsel at the forum. We ask that people seek wise Christian counsel (hpefully together) because: - they are beter trained - it is face-to-face I commend you for already seeking wise Christian counsel. We pray that you find it and that both you and your wife grow in Him. Searcher |
