Greetings Tiffany, Yes, you can remain sexually pure and keep your thought life clean. Rom 12:2 "Do not be conformed to this world, but continually be transformed by the renewing of your minds so that you may be able to determine what God's will is-what is proper, pleasing, and perfect." Eph 4:23 "to be renewed in the spirit of your minds," Phi 4:8 "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is fair, whatever is pure, whatever is acceptable, whatever is commendable, if there is anything of excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy-keep thinking about these things." 1Co 7:9 "However, if they cannot control themselves, they should get married, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion." I hope that these verses help! All Scripture quotations were taken from the International Standard Version: New Testament. Blessings to you, Makarios |

Markarios: When I see these type of questions, I wonder if they are not better answered by a mature Christian woman. We do have several in the forum. There is some reason she was seeking an answer that was, I think, wanting not so much a Biblical line of verses but more technical down to earth solutions to her wanting to be pure, yet to relieve herself of sexual frustration. I do not think we as men can adaquitly answer that. You must surely see she was asking for more than you answered. Don't you agree. My view, when it comes to sexual questions it is best handled by those of the same sex. Just thought I would share my feelings onthis kind of advice. I think it is worth your consideration. agape, justme |

4 | How do u stay pure but have pleasure | Phil 4:8 | Makarios | 56625
Greetings Justme! Many of these "advice" questions that are asked here are more properly dealt with in a 'one on one' situation with someone who knows the 'Questioner' personally, such as a pastor, Christian friend or family member. However, I can see where asking such a question would propose a bit of "anonymity" on a Bible Forum such as this, since we have never personally met, and I have yet to meet anyone on this Forum "face to face".. However, even though I have never met anyone here 'up close and personally', the fact remains that this Forum remains very public, and for all to see! If you have not noticed, the words that we put here do not go away, nor are they erased.. Therefore, I think it is worth everyone's consideration to try to keep the content of this Forum respectable and honorable, and to handle such questions with humility and grace, rather than to send the 'Questioner' away in discouragement. Wouldn't you agree? Blessings to you, Makarios |

Good answer, however this type of question is completely legit...and something that I imagine a lot of people wonder about.. It's a shame that people cannot talk about this openly, with class, and give someone a sensible answer...no one here needs more guilt...we live in an repressed society as "Christians" as it is... Some of the stuff people gave my sister and brother-in-law when they got married, had me rolling on the floor. You are reasonably limited in sex to anatomy and physics....as well as the Bible... When they are talking about the Bretheren, they are talking about people in a fellowship...what you should be focused on say at a church function...never mind who's wearing what, who's doing what ... blah blah blah..instead of stupidity, concentrate on the good in others, seek things that are pure, lovely, loving and honest to speak about with fellow Believers...this has NOTHING to do with sex and a marriage relationship...if you are single, I think things may pretty well take care of themselves...in your sleep. Don't worry ... God made as we are...He knows about sex, the Bible says He was tempted in all things common to man...do you think he was never tempted? He was half man... Talk to a doctor, talk to a woman who looks delirious in her marriage..skip the ones who look like they haven't done it in years... If you want to find a map, you go to a map book..not a recipe book.. Hope this helps. J |

6 | How do u stay pure but have pleasure | Phil 4:8 | Reformer Joe | 81178
"Don't worry ... God made as we are...He knows about sex, the Bible says He was tempted in all things common to man...do you think he was never tempted?" When the Bible says Jesus was tempted, that means that externally the world and individuals attempted to influence Him to sin. That does not mean that He had sinful impulses or thoughts at any point during His time on earth. "He was half man..." He became and is 100 percent man, and he has eternally been 100 percent God. --Joe! |
