Read Romans 12:2, we are to be tramsformed by the renewing of our minds. Elsewhere in the bible God talks much about our thoughts and our mind. It is our responsibility to change our thought pattern to a higher level. This is done by thinking on the noble, honorable, etc. In doing this we do not have time for judgment, criticism, envy, revenge and worry which are all sins. Christ knows we as humans cannot be fully conscious of Him during every waking hour. He would like for us to at least walk in the garden of fragrant thoughts. This is also practical advice. I heard today that 90 percent of illness can be traced to how we think about others, ourselves and life in general. So much that the bible gives us are answers for spiritual growth and for practical everyday living. Two messages at once so to speak. Even man's wisdom tell's us we are the sum of our thoughts. God's teaching is that we should reach for the higher levels of thought and impressions. This is where the "light" comes through more brightly. I can imagine Christ maintained high thoughts and we also can learn to do this by a willful decision on what we decide to think. Historically God has much to say about this. Using a concordance a reviewing scripture on the mind and thoughts may help you. | ||||||
