What is the name that God bestowed on his Son? I say the name is The Lord Jesus Christ. The message from God was that His name would be called Jesus because He would save His people from their sins. But then God made him to be both Lord and Christ. His name then is a combination of all of these, each word pregnant with meaning. But what do you say? |

Of Phil 2:9 "For this reason..." He already had the name of Jesus. The name he gave him is LORD. Isa 42:8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. Most of the newer bibles make it hard to determine who they are talking about when they use the title Lord for both the Father and Son. The name Jehovah was in the Original Holy Scriptures over 7000 times. In most newer bibles the name Jehovah or YHWH is replaced with Lord. Before you disagree with me please research the information yourself. |
