Some additional scriptural thoughts to consider from the same letter to the Ephesians: Unrestrained venting of anger is one feature of this world’s spirit (Compare Eph. 2:1,2). Many worldly people lose self-control easily. They blow up, then excuse themselves by saying that they were just letting off steam. But this is not what Paul advised, for he wrote: “Get rid of all bitterness, all passion and anger, harsh words, slander, and malice of every kind.” (Ephesians 4:31) But what if anger builds up despite our developing self-control and other fruits of God’s spirit? “If you are angry, let it be without sin,” wrote Paul. “The sun must not go down on your wrath; do not give the devil a chance to work on you.” (Ephesians 4:26, 27) So if we are provoked to anger, we should settle the matter quickly, before the day ends. Otherwise, bitterness and resentment begin to take root in the heart, and they are hard to uproot. Do not allow yourself to breathe in the angry, vengeful “air” of this world!— Psalm 37:8 contains excellent scriptural advice: “Give up your anger, and forsake wrath; be not vexed, it will only harm you.” I have read that frequent anger, especially uncontrolled anger is bad for your heart – you may have read the same. |

I thought of another application of this verse (below) that serves to protect Christians. Psalm 37:8 contains excellent scriptural advice: “Give up your anger, and forsake wrath; be not vexed, it will only harm you.” Have you noticed how road-rage has escalated? - no doubt due to the pressures of this world and those pressures would especially be felt by Christians. (Compare 1 Tim 3:1-7,12,13) By keeping this scripture in mind, we can avoid serious problems associated with "road rage". I don't know how bad this is in your state, but my state is awful and people only seem to drive one speed here: "very fast". Be safe. |

Hank, I know this is you doing this and its obvious that "you" are controlling this forum in a dictitorial manner. What was wrong with these post? They are very helpful to people and you are preventing that. Do you realize how much that information could help people? Perhaps save a life? Did this break some Lockman Foundation guideline/rule? If so, which one specifically. (btw: How come I'm not getting any responses on the abuse that I reported on you and Steve?) I'm going to investigate this site and get down to the bottom of this Hank. It would be easier though if you come clean. |

By this time you know I'm sincere about my complaints and actions that I am taking against you Hank... you can run, but you can't hide. I'm going to make sure Lockman knows how you and a few others are corrupting this forum and its intent. Come clean Hank, you know you and your lackeys are wrong in your dealings with people - and of all people, you should know that from your personal reading of the Bible. I'm still not sure why you set this in motion. |
