1 | "FAITH is the first gift of GOD" | Eph 2:8 | Kingsknight | 12021
Most "SO-CALLED CHRISTIANS" don't understand that "FAITH" is the first gift of God towards "MAN'S SALVATION". All men receive this gift, but not all place that "FAITH" in Jesus Christ, the "UNSAVED" place their "FAITH" in the things of the world. No one can turn to God and accept his gift of salvation thru Jesus Christ, without this "FIRST GIFT OF GOD" !!!
2 | Who are the "SO-CALLED CHRISTIANS"? | Eph 2:8 | stjones | 21200
Hello, Kingsknight; You are right about faith being a gift of God. And It is no doubt true that many non-Christians, many who call themselves Christians but are not, and perhaps many authentic Christians don't understand that. But I am curious about the "SO-CALLED CHRISTIANS" you refer to. Who are they? I assume they're not people who have a saving faith in Christ but may have missed this point of doctrine. Please enlighten me. Thanks. Peace and grace, Steve |

3 | Who are the "SO-CALLED CHRISTIANS"? | Eph 2:8 | crowleypreacher | 21299
Dear Steve The so called Christians you are asking about are those people who have by faith accepted Christ as their Savior and have had their sins forgiven. If you are asking this question because you do not know Jesus as your Savior I would like to introduce you to my Lord and Savior. He will give you the gift of salvation if you will pray the sinners prayer and ask Jesus to come into your heart. According to Romans 10-9-10 and John 3:16. Jesus would like to save you from your sins and give you the gift of eternal life so that you would not have to face eternity without Him. I hopr that this answers your question. I will be praying for you in the days to come your friend Pastor Tom echols. |

4 | Who are the "SO-CALLED CHRISTIANS"? | Eph 2:8 | stjones | 21312
Hello, Tom; Thanks for the reply. I am indeed saved but I appreciate your concern and your willingness to share the good news with me. To be honest, I was feeling kind of grouchy when I read your note, and probably read it wrong. I thought you were saying that a Christian who doesn't know that faith is a gift of God is not really a Christian at all. I'm sure you weren't saying that, so I apologize for misreading you. I occasionally run across folks - I'm sure you have too - who tell me that if you don't dot this "i" the right way or cross that "t" according their rules, then your're not really a Christian. It annoys me when somebody like that tells me I'm not a Christian. But then I just remember that "The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment." (1 Corinthians 2:15) Anyway, thanks for the answer. In the future, I'll try to keep my bad moods to myself. ;-) Peace and grace, Steve |
