1 | Is "slavery" condemned in the Bible? | Gal 3:28 | Jaknik | 48783
Well, Joe, I did not know that questions and/or questioning were not allowed. I suggest that you suggest my termination to Mr. Lockman. If he thinks anything I've said is untoward, then that is his right. I'm not sure why questions would upset you, especially if they're done in a polite manner? I certainly hope that there are good, decent minds available anywhere, especially in the Christian communities, that welcome real attempts at Bible study. If not, then what would be the reason for "study"? Sorry, you are offended...didn't mean to....
2 | Is "slavery" condemned in the Bible? | Gal 3:28 | Reformer Joe | 48791
I am not upset by these questions. There are simply other places on the Internet where they fit better. Please find one of those sites (I suggest newsgroups that begin with alt.christnet) to question the reliability of the Bible. To do so here is to violate the guidelines of those who own this Forum. I didn't make the rules, but the agenda here is not to cast doubt on God's word. For our purposes here, the truth of the Bible is considered an established authority. --Joe! |

3 | Is "slavery" condemned in the Bible? | Gal 3:28 | Hank | 48793
Good advice, Joe, for Jaknik and for all other users whose agenda is to question (or attack) the authority, accuracy, reliability or divine inspiration of the Bible. The Lockman Foundation maintains that the Scriptures are the authoratative word of God and must be considered inviolable on this forum. As owners of this site, they reserve the right (and have used it) to revoke any user's account who does not comply with their rules of usage, thus disenabling him from makingany further posts. These standards are clearly spelled out in the four statements to which every user signifies agreement each and every time he submits a post. Anyone who does not take this agreement seriously stands in danger of being dismissed as a contributing member of this forum. --Hank
