Greetings bob2cool! 1 Cor. 7:12-14 is speaking of a case where a person has become a believer and his or her spouse has not. In that case, Paul tells the believer not to divorce the unbelieving spouse. It is not teaching that it is okay to marry a non-believer. Think of it for a minute. Why would anyone want to marry someone who shares such a different view of the world. Husbands and wives may have differences in personality or interest, but they must be united in their goals for life. Thus, Scripture tells us not to be 'unequally yoked' (2 Cor. 6:14).
