1 | Franklin Graham's view of Moslem faith | 1 Cor 2:10 | nitab | 23940
Good evening everyone: My question is do you support Franklin Graham's statement regarding the Moslem faith? Last Sunday, my pastor asked us to pray for Franklin Graham for his statement and his honesty. My pastor felt that Franklin would be persecuted for his statement. I support the statement that he unabashedly made that the Moslem faith is not based on truth. How do you feel. Have a safe and happy Sat. night, and maybe I will see you in church tomorrow. Thank you for your response and may our Lord bless you. nitab.

Islam is a religion that is custom made to portray the Moslems as the chosen people instead of the Jewish. It also denies the diety and redemtive sacrifice of Jesus and attempts to lower Him to a secondary prophet to the "final prophet" Mohammed. Incidently which also makes the greatest prophet a Moslem. God used the Jewish nation to reveal Himself and His will to the world. Many Jewish people through out history have used this as a source of self pride when it is accually a great burden of responsability. In Matt. 19:30 Jesus says that the ones who were first will be last into the Kingdom of Heaven. In Revelations the remnant of Israel is not sealed until after the sixth seal is broken. Why the Moslem people would covet this burden, I don't know. I believe the Moslem people must have felt belittled and mistreated by the Jewish and Christians (who led the awful crusades against the Moslem nations which were pagan at the time) so they jumped when Mohammed invented his new religion which redefined scripture in the "Quran" and made everyone who didn't follow it unclean. 1John 2:22 says that the one who denys that Jesus is the Christ is a liar and the antichrist. Make no mistake, I feel that we need to love the people of the Moslem nations and those who choose to follow Islam, but to be more tolerant than God's Word of a religion which the Bible makes clear is false by recognizing it as a valid belief which makes God the Father and "Allah" one and the same just because of social pressure, would be a grave mistake. |

Hi, Bob; Just a historical note - Muhammad was born in 570 and had his first visit from an "angel" at age 40. Pope Urban called for the First Crusade in 1095. But there's no question that the Crusades helped to grow Islam and perhaps planted the seeds of hatred of the West that we see today. The key point is, as you said, that Allah is certainly not God and Muhammad was certainly not God's messenger. Peace and grace, Steve aka Indiana Jones |

Thanks Indy, I appreciate the correction. I should have checked that closer before I wrote it. I was thinkiing more of the result than the timeline. It's sad that the misinterpretation of scripture by both Christian and Jewish institutions have contributed so much to the growth of this perverse false religion that will lead so many to distruction. Now that it has grown so much, we are under pressure again to misinterpret scripture so that Christianity can show itself to be "socially tolerant" We just need to love the mideastern people and pray that there eyes are opened and that they will be saved. Thank you brother, and God bless you, Bob |
