Hi 8788, Acts Chapter two shows the evangelistic gift of tongues (called by Paul the tongues of men) which is to speak in a language unknown to yourself yet known to the hearer for the purpose of sharing the gospel. 1 Cor 14 teaches about the prayer gift of tongues (called by Paul the tongues of angels) which is to speak in a language unknown to all for the purposes of prayer and praise to God. Personally in my opinion, 1 Cor 14 talks about how to speak regarding church and in public. It doesn't say you shouldn't speak at home, it's talking about in church mainly..... | ||||||
