Hi, saved... Each of the Persons of our Triune God participated in specific works in securing redemption. We can discuss these works on an individual basis, but the lines sort of blur, as is often the case when discussing the various attributes and work of the Trinity. When theologians speak of this, they talk about the "economy of the Godhead." Whatever activity in which God engages, the three Divine Persons operate in perfect unity, harmony, and cooperation. I like how succinctly Michael Gowens puts it in regard to this particular passage, and the work of God in redemption: "The covenant of grace was planned by the Father (Ephesians 1:4-5; Romans 8:28-29, 33; 2 Timothy 1:9), executed by the Son (Ephesians 1:7; Romans 8:3-4, 34; John 6:37), and applied by the Spirit (Romans 8:2, 9, 15).
