1 | Is there a bible verse that means this? | Rom 8:28 | 34224 | 232173 | ||
Well,1st of all, logic says NO. If everything happened for a reason, that would make God responsible. Safety standards at factories and coal mines, etc, would have no statistical difference, across the board. In my examination of my beliefs, one of the first things I came to see, is that God has a purpose in what he does.While everything does not happen for a reason, things that happen, that could interfere with his purpose,such as when the "wise men" were to tell Herod where Jesus was as a child and an angel told them to leave town by a different route etc. Most of what happens in life has nothing to do with God. As it says in the last part of Ecclesiastes 9:11 IT IS JUST HAPPENSTANCE. "because time and unforeseen occurrence befall them all" That's a "nutshell" answer. |

NOTHING...just happens. The word...."Luck"... is a misnomer and should be removed from the dictionary IMHO. We are blessed even in challenges. It is G-ds' plan and nothing just happens. Otherwise one would have to conclude that G-d is not in charge...of all. Does He allow bad things to happen to good people? Yes...as part of his overall plan of which our limited brains/intel. cannot understand. G-d causes nothing bad to happen to a human. He may allow tribulations.... for his purposes. Study...don't just read it...study the book of Job. It will help greatly to understand this point. Make note G-d said Job was a "perfect" servant. To my knowledge/memory He said that about no other in the Bible. |
