1 | Who groans - us or the Holy Spirit? | Rom 8:26 | kalos | 148303 | ||
There is no rule against it, but it is not desirable, when addressing a question to a specific individual, to post it under the heading of Question. I.e., while addressing a question to an individual, as part of an existing thread, when you are asked, Is this a Question or a Note, it would be better to identify it as a Note. If two people who are engaged in a dialogue with each other post their responses as Questions, then other people must scroll and scroll and scroll through the so-called "Questions", which are really intended for individuals, before they can get to the Questions that are questions for everyone. I find this kind of posting to be distracting and annoying. I mean no offense here. Now that we have that out of the way, Searcher, you make a good point in your post. -- it is the Holy Spirit who makes intercession -- as you say, it is not us. In Romans 8:26 it does not say the Spirit prays THROUGH us. It says the Spirit makes intercession FOR us. |

Kalos, greetings, my brother and friend. There is no offense taken on my part. I am sorry for the annoyance. You make a good point. When asking a question of others I will make it a note, even when I shift verses ... and indicate on the original note or answer the new verse or post number. Steve |
