1 | Who groans - us or the Holy Spirit? | Rom 8:26 | Searcher56 | 148310
Tim, greetings ... what does the Greek say here? You and I both know we better not rely on the logic we read in the English. Methinks the Greek proves it is the Holy Spirit doing the utterance ... but not through us. Searcher
2 | Who groans - us or the Holy Spirit? | Rom 8:26 | Morant61 | 148327
Greetings Searcher! I don't think that the Greek helps much here! The last clause simply says, "...but the Spirit Himself intercedes with inexpressible groanings:" It does not saying anything about how the groanings are uttered, just that they are uttered by the Spirit Himself. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
