Greetings Lorenzo! The word 'dokime', which is translated as 'character' can refer either to the 'process of being tested' or the 'result of being tested'. It is used in the former sense in 2 Cor. 8:2 and 2 Cor. 13:3. It is used in the latter sense in Rom. 5:4, 2 Cor. 6:9, Phil. 2:22, and 2 Cor. 9:13.
