1 | sin or no sin | Rom 5:13 | Tony M | 104025
Romans 5:13 [To be sure] sin was in the world before ever the Law was given, but sin is not charged to men's account where there is no law [to transgress]. Does this verse apply to those in olden times that never had access to the bible(american natives, aborigines, African tribes, etc). I think it does, I would like to hear some other opinions. |

2 | sin or no sin | Rom 5:13 | Makarios | 104346
Greetings Tony M, I believe that Paul himself answers this very question in the next verse.. "Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the offense of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come." Romans 5:14 Therefore, if death reigned from Adam until Moses, then it was because of sin that caused death to 'reign', since through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death came because of sin. This is how death spread to all men, because all men sinned. However, (v.17) if by the sin of the one man, Adam, death reigned over all men, then how much more will those who receive the redemptive grace through Jesus Christ reign in life! Excellent passage of Scripture! Blessings to you, Makarios |
