1 | Accountability | Rom 5:13 | EdB | 104189
TonyM I think the gentiles were accountable for what they didn't do. Romans 1 says nature testifies of God. Humans have an propensity to seek out, to understand, to explore. Now nature is testifying that there is a God yet the Gentiles like many of us instead of seeking God out sought to invent their own, therefore once again becoming masters of their destiny. Sin is rebellion against God it is not just breaking one of God’s rules or commandments but rather the act of rebelling against what God is. Our refusal to submit to Him either by creating another god or ignoring God or by acts of open rebellion such as breaking one of God's laws/commandments is still sin. Yes I think the Gentiles will be held accountable for doing what their conscience told them was wrong. Their conscience along with nature told them there was a God and that they needed to seek Him. Instead they choose to ignore, invent their own or deny there was a God. EdB |

EdB, I think your third paragraph is the best and clearest description of sin that I have seen. Thanks. I'm going to remember this one for future use, with your permission of course!
