Hank, do you think that the death this passage refers to is "everlasting damnation," or simply "death, (the loss of life?" I can't help but to think of Moses and his sin, which brought what some might consider, a pre mature death. No doubt, sin is sin, and without the blood of the Lamb, the wage thereof is death in eternal damnation, but then, there is a sin unto death, and likewise, those which are not unto death. It seems like I have already answered my question, but I have only gotten myself a little dizzy. |

Do you mean to imply that Moses died a premature death at the age of 120 (Deut. 34:7)?

120 is OLD today, but it was only a fraction of the average years they lived back then. Did scripture not imply that he might have lived to see the promised land, had he not struck that rock as he did? Numbers 20:12 I believe the Lords Words gave such an implication in the punishment of death He dealt, for Moses' "eyes were not weak, nor his strength gone," yet Moses saw the promised land, then died, never crossing over into it. He wasn't sick or weakly person. He was just as human as you and I. That is why, even Moses, the man who laid eyes on the very presence of God All Mighty, was no more than a fleshly sinner, a murderer, saved by Grace. In His Name |

You write: "120 is OLD today, but it was only a fraction of the average years they lived back then." But in Psalm 90:10 ("A Prayer of Moses, the man of God") Moses says: As for the days of our life, they contain seventy years, Or if due to strength, eighty years, (NASB Psalm 90:10a) |

Check out the ages of some before God made that decree. I can't remember where or when it was, probably somewhere in Genesis, but God shortened our years to what you quote. My Mother-in-Law live to be 94. Many, even today, live much longer. It is also evident, if one reads scripture as it is written, that what I have stated concerning Moses, is factual. |

You're not making any sense at all. I can't waste my time on this.
