1 | OT practices not followed today? | Rom 14:5 | Paul823 | 58829
I'm sorry to inform you but Jesus did command us to keep ALL the laws and commandments of Exodus, Leviticus, and Deuteronomy. Just read the words of Jesus in the book of Matthew: Matt 5:17 "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. Matt 5:18 "For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Matt 5:19 "Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven Some of these law are pretty kinky and in contradiction with our secular laws. So what are we supposed to do?? |

Well let's see Steve, you are citing the epistles of the Apostle Paul as a justification for ignoring the original commandments. How does Paul justify this conclusion based upon the teachings of Jesus? Or is this just wishful thinking on the part of Paul -- thinking (or hoping) that this is what Jesus wanted? Based upon the teaching of Matt 5:19, Paul "shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven." |

4 | OT practices not followed today? | Rom 14:5 | srbaegon | 59141
Hello Paul823 Paul had the clear teaching and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, his writings are as authoritative as the words of Christ. Since there is no division in the Godhead, this must be what the Lord Jesus and the Father had decided as well. Steve |
