1 | God turns back on individuals? | Rom 11:5 | humble warrior | 227562
Rom 10:13, Prov 10:12, 1 john 4:16 just to name a few. I hear you Shalom. Verses are good but overall meaning is better. We all sin, Jesus gives us a chance to be saved. God knows some will never call on Jesus, but that doesn't mean he turns his back on them. Love covers all sin. God is love. Jesus is love. Love is both.

Dear humble, I am sorry that the discussion could have sidetracked the original question and I don't want to make it head to emotional as Pastor Beja has reminded us. You are absolutely correct that : God is Love, Jesus is love. But be careful that Love is not both...and Love is NOT God. It is a simple logic. 1 Cor 13 has a very detail description of what love is...there does not say love is God/love is Jesus/love is both. Nor can we find any verse in the Bible stating so. I would like to commend you the book "The Difficult Doctrine of the Love of God" - D.A. Carson. In chapter 4, he talks about God's love and God's wrath. Only when we rightly understand God's justice, holiness and wrath, we will understand and be amazed by his deep and immeasurable Love. Shalom Azure |
