1 | God turns back on individuals? | Rom 11:5 | azurelaw | 227558
Dear humble, Roman 11:5 you cited clearly indicated that there are some that God does not choose. How would you reconcile this with your answer "no"? I think we should be careful not to take scripture out of its context. To the question, I would say "yes" and "no". God is Sovereign, Holy, Just and of course Love. He hates sin. We, as sinners, always under His wrath (John 3:36). We are condemned already and are hopless. Do a word search on "wrath" from the Bible Text box, you will find a bunch of scriptures describing God's wrath. The only way that we can escape from God's wrath is through His Son Jesus Christ. This is the only way He planned to exercise His saving grace and Love on sinners (Rom 5:8). He [Jesus] is our only hope and our only shelter. Read also Roman 8:28-30 and chapter 9. Shalom Azure |

3 | when is one spit out? can door be opened | Rom 11:5 | Makarios | 227570
Greetings Larry Roy Green! Praise the Lord that you can honestly tell yourself (and others) that you are lukewarm as a Christian and Revelation 3:16 speaks to you. But I see Revelation 3:16 and 3:20 as an opportunity - see 1 John 1:9: 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." So, we can take the initiative, give the Lord his place as Lord and Savior of our lives, and repent of our sins. Then, we can remove all of the obstructions of the Holy Spirit working in our lives and live wholeheartedly, sold out to Him! Blessings to you, Makarios |

4 | when is one spit out? can door be opened | Rom 11:5 | lionheart | 227571
Makarios, Very well stated brother and very well put together. Many take Rev 3:20 out of context and use it as a salvation verse when it actually deals with repentance and broken fellowship. I truly appreciate how you handled this. In Him, lionheart |
