1 | chosen vs. unchosen | Rom 11:1 | ajsongbird | 166958
The Chosen People are the nation of Israel. It's not that we are the unchosen if we are Gentiles (meaning not Jews), but God has chosen the Israelites to reign in the earth for the final days. (This is found in Revelation, but I am not sure where) So, because of grace, salvation has been made available to us, the Gentiles, those who are not from the nation of Israel. Does that help?
2 | chosen vs. unchosen | Rom 11:1 | lionheart | 166966
ajsongbird, Greetings and welcome to the forum. Check out these passages of scripture, Galatians 3:26-29, Ephesians 2:11-22,1 Peter 2:7-10. Isreal was the nation God chose to reveal himself to the world through. It's evident in Gods promises to Abraham and his desendants. It was all part of His plan for all of us. After Pentecost there is no longer any distinction between jew or gentile when it comes to those whom God identifies with himself. It was always Gods desire to have a people,a family that he would call his own. Today thats us. All who are followers and disciples of Jesus Christ. It's no longer a matter of jew or gentile but sons and daughters of God,saved or unsaved. Seems a little simplistic, but it is simple we just make it complicated. In Christ, lionheart |
