Bows44: In defense of Kalos' post, I offer the following observations. Of the Old Testament characters you cite, i.e., Abram (Abraham), Job, and Kings David and Solomon, not one of them got rich by spreading false doctrine and then bilking their victims of their money. What Kalos posted about these charlatans was verifiable fact, fact that is meant to inform and warn, not inflame and divide. To expose false teachers by supplying the facts about them and their deplorable tactics is not not to engage in gossip or verbal attack. These people are preaching and teaching demonstrable falsehood, of which Paul in Galatians 1:8 says this: "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." Accursed is a very strong word, a terrible word. In the Greek it is anathema, which refers to devoting someone to destruction in eternal hell. No, friend, Kalos did not breach any Forum decorum by posting a roster of these false teachers and deceivers. He was merely doing what Paul instructed Timothy to do in 2 Timothy 4:1-5. We err egregiously when we attempt to protect and defend false teachers and when we find fault with those who attempt to expose their lies. --Hank | ||||||

Dear Hank, Indeed, people forget that exposing the lie for what it is, correcting people's false doctrine, and presenting the truth is one of the most loving things that we can do! That is particularly true in this association. For the forum, is, after all, limitted in the extent to which we can minister to one another. How better to love one another than to share the truth with one another! In Him, Doc |
