1 | Can someone help me get to God? | Rom 10:9 | prazn | 122596
Hank, I don't know anything about the Word of Faith movement; so, I couldn't begin to defend them even if I wanted to. I only listen to one of the ministers mentioned in the post that began this debate and I don't always agree with what that minister preaches. However, I am aware that there are many people in the body of Christ who do receive spiritual sustenance from these ministers. I praise the Lord for their ministries, because these believers are at least seeking to know more about the Word of God. Please hear me! I don't think that anyone should "hang their spiritual hat" on any individual minister's teachings. So, I'm encouraged that the Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit "will guide us into all truth". And, that "He who began a good work in us will be faithful to complete it". So, regardless of where each of the members of the body are "at" (spiritually), we are ever growing, ever changing ("from glory to glory"), and are (prayerfully) being transformed into the image of our Lord and Savior. I agree with you! Earthly wealth is not relevant!!! peace, prazn |

2 | Can someone help me get to God? | Rom 10:9 | Earnest | 122715
Earthly wealth is not relevant!!! If so... how come we spend so much time accumulating it... and debating it? Earthly wealth (and how acquired and utilized) is a measure of man's inner being... and is vitally important to man and God. Jesus taught more about money and how to use and administer it than anything else... |

3 | Can someone help me get to God? | Rom 10:9 | Zsuzsi | 122750
Earnest, If earthly wealth is really "a measure of one's inner being", then I am very blessed to be so poor in spirit too (Mt 5:3)! ...But... may I ask, where exactly did you get "vitally important to man and God" from? Blessings, Zsuzsi |

4 | Can someone help me get to God? | Rom 10:9 | Earnest | 123037
What we DO with earthly wealth is a measure of who we are. I thought that was obviously implied here Zsuzsi. To be poor in spirit has nothing to do with being poor monetarily. Many poor persons are anything but "poor in spirit"! To your last qu. The Holy Bible... and I thought that I already indicated that by the fact that money and how we steward it is such a predominant message in His instruction. ps I know your deductive powers are much greater than you let on... I've read your posts. |
