I don't know of any online church, per se. But, if you can't get to a physical building you may want to watch one of the many Christian ministries that broadcast their church services on television. Howard-Browne would sweep his arm toward the crowd. People would appear "drunk on the Holy Spirit" and slide out of their chairs or dance in the aisles.' ____________________ St. Louis Post-Dispatch, 11/18/2003 (http://www.stltoday.com/) |

3 | Can someone help me get to God? | Rom 10:9 | prazn | 122565
You forgot to mention the most important statistic regarding each of the ministries that you listed: the millions of souls that have been brought into the Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ and the millions of born-again believers who are fed the Word continually through each of their ministries... But, the combined wealth of all of the aforementioned TV preachers is only a fraction of the wealth that the Catholic church has. love in Christ! prazn |

prazn: Referring to the popular TV preachers that kalos listed, you wrote "...born-again believers who are fed the Word continually through each of their ministeries." I've listed to these TV preachers carefully, and I'll challenge anyone to prove that the Word-Faith lies they pollute the airwaves with are scriptural. ..... When you say that "the combined wealth of all the aforementioned TV preachers is only a fraction of the wealth that the Catholic church has" you are probably correct, but what of it? What's your point? Do you realize that you are comparing the combined wealth of a handful of TV preachers with the combined wealth of the Roman Catholic Church, which is comprised of more than one billion baptized believers, making it the largest Christian church on earth? If we're going to make a comparison, let's at least be statistically fair about it. --Hank
5 | Can someone help me get to God? | Rom 10:9 | prazn | 122586
Hank, If you believe that the teachings of TV preachers are not scriptural you're entitled to your opinion. With regard to the wealth of the Roman Catholic Church, it is as relevant as the delineation of the income/wealth of the ministries of the popular TV preachers cited in the post that I responded to. peace, prazn |

"Just your opinion"? Log off the web now IF... ____________________ 'It is impossible to know the meaning of any written text. If this is true, log off the web now. If not, read this commentary to find out about self-refuting arguments.' ____________________ 'Let me give you a picture of my world, by and large, at least as it touches this particular issue. My world is a world in which thinking matters, in which there is such a thing as truth, in which truth can be known and in which we use thinking to assess ideas to determine whether they are true or not. There's really not much room in my thinking system for comments like, Well, that's just your interpretation, or just your opinion, when the emphasis is on "just." Of course it's my interpretation. Of course it's my opinion, but it's not just those things in that I'm not simply sharing my point of view, I'm sharing my reasons why I have a point of view. 'Now it could be that my opinion or my interpretation is mistaken, but the only way for me to find out whether it's mistaken or not is to get at the reasons I draw the conclusions which form either my opinion or my interpretation. I don't believe that all opinions are equal. I don't believe that all interpretations are equal . . .' ____________________ (Some Things are True by Gregory Koukl) To read more go to: (http://www.str.org/free/commentaries/philosophy/stat.htm) |

In Mark 10:15, Jesus says, "Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all." Little children don't know a whole lot, do they? But, they trust their fathers because they know more than the children do. At that time Jesus said, "I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants." - Matt 11:25 "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak;..."
