Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and [for] all the house of Israel his companions: And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou [meanest] by these? Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which [is] in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, [even] with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand. And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes." This is a reference to the Book of Mormon and the Bible being companion books, complimenting each other. This is under the Joseph Smith reference because the two go hand in hand. The Book of Mormon is a true volume of scripture, prophesied in the Bible, and brought forth by God. Therefore, Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God. |

Greetings Gbt1997oct (AKA Gbennet76)! Many individuals have already pointed out your deceitfulness in continuing to log on under different identities after being kicked off of this site for abuse. So, I won't deal with that issue again. What I would like to touch upon (for the benefit of all those on the forum who might be tempted or led astray by the false teachings of cults like Mormonism) is the mis-use of the Biblical passage in your last post. You quote from Eze. 37:15-17 and make the claim that this is a prophecy about the Book of Mormon. Let us look at what the actual passage reallys says. Ez. 37:18 - "‘‘When your countrymen ask you, ‘Won’t you tell us what you mean by this?’ 19 say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am going to take the stick of Joseph—which is in Ephraim’s hand—and of the Israelite tribes associated with him, and join it to Judah’s stick, making them a single stick of wood, and they will become one in my hand.’ 20 Hold before their eyes the sticks you have written on 21 and say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them back into their own land. 22 I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. There will be one king over all of them and they will never again be two nations or be divided into two kingdoms. 23 They will no longer defile themselves with their idols and vile images or with any of their offenses, for I will save them from all their sinful backsliding, and I will cleanse them. They will be my people, and I will be their God." So, do the two sticks refer to the Bible and the Book of Mormon? No! The two sticks refer to the divided kingdom of Israel. God promised in this propehcy that they would be one again, which they were not prior to the exile. This is an excellent example of how cults twist Scriptures for their own purposes. Nothing in this passage has anything to do with the Bible or the Book of Mormon, and the context makes it abundantly clear. I pray my friend that you will respond to the one and only Gospel of Jesus Christ, for His is the only name by which you can be saved. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
