My pastor mentioned, God never intended for us to have one universal religion. Is there any scripture that supports this. |

It seems appropriate that the question be asked of the pastor himself. It is difficult to know what he meant unless we know the context of his statement. He could have been talking about denominations or about the ecumenical movement. He should have given a scripture reference for his statement. If he forgot to do so, it would be good to ask him. He would probably agree that God wants everyone to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4) and since there in no other name by which they can be saved except the name of Jesus (Acts 4:12) that would mean that God wants all men to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. There is salvation in none other. Jesus is the way, the only way, to God (John 14:6). Since God wants all men to come to him, he would want them all to come through Jesus. |
